Towards The Sky

For the past decades China’s economy has sky rocketed. Shanghai has become an important international financial centre, and is now the home to about 24 million people. But for many people the city is growing too fast, and turning into something they cannot relate to. The traditional narrow streets are being torn down in a rapid pace to give room for western looking appartment buildings. This is my story about the city and the people I met, struggling with their new identity.
